- The Clew Bay Garden Trail (all June): Launched in May, this event provides the opportunity to explore and learn about the unique gardens along the shores of Clew Bay.
- Mayo Pride (1st - 2nd June): The last 2 days of the 8th annual Mayo Pride Festival. Don't miss the final few events happening on Sunday follow by a hike on Croagh Patrick on Monday.
- Westport Horse & Pony show (1st June): An unforgettable day of equestrian excitement and family friendly-fun. Held at the Drummindoo Stud in Knockranny (F28 PC44)
- The Westport Folk & Bluegrass Festival (5th-8th June): A 3 day event that stages multiple high quality musical acts from Ireland, Europe, the USA and beyond. This event is widely regarded as one of the leading Folk & Bluegrass events in the country.
- Wine Tasting Evening (6th June): Join for a fun evening of tasting delicious wines and cheeses at the Wine Grove in Castlebar @6pm.
- Speed Golf Irish open (7th June): Where speed and skill collide on the green. Elite athletes, rising stars and golf enthusiasts wear running shoes instead of golf shoes and carry only 4 to 7 clubs to complete the hole is the shortest possible time. Event will be covered by a U.S based production for a documentary for international distribution. Two-time world champion Rob Hogan will compete alongside international competitors like Robin Smith (New-Zealand), James McMaster (Australia), Jamie Taylor (England), Olivier Guisset (Belgium), Adam Lortan (USA) and Gatjeak Gew (South Sudan).
- Irelands 4 Peaks Challenge (7th June): Embark on an unforgettable adventure climbing the highest peak in County mayo, Mweelrea Mountain. A reasonable level of fitness is required. The hike is fully guided but can be physically demanding.
- We built this city on rock and coal (9th June): Funded through the Research Ireland Discovery Programme, this event brings scientists and theatre-makers to the rural west of Ireland for a co-created comedy show driven by hopepunk, climate research, music and what matters most to the local community. A fun show good for the planet.
- Gaelforce West (14th June): A 68 km run, cycle and kayak along the Wild Atlantic Way. From the start line at Lough Inagh Valley to the finish line in Westport, there is simply nothing to rival this spectacular linear route through the heart of Connemara.
- Music of Mayo Festival (20th-22nd): Throughout the weekend, spontanous pop-up traditional music sessionswill animate Bridge St in Castlebar, creating a lively atmosphereof shared heritage and community spirit. Tickets information click here
- SAL-Cafe Tour (21st June): Irish singer and composer, join Sara Ryan (aka SAL) at the Gallery Cafe, Wine & Tapas Bar in Westport (F28 VP63) for an intimate performance of music, connection and stories.
