What a really nice place to stay while visiting Westport. The staff are all so welcoming, courteous and professional. We had a meal on the evening of our arrival and the food was gorgeous. Beautifully cooked and the portion size was just right. The same can be said for their breakfasts. They also use a lot of local produce from Westport and the surroudning area which is top quality and is very nice to see that they are promoting local producers. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It's location overlooks Westport and Clew Bay plus Croagh Patrick. All in all, a realy nice weekend was had in Knockranny House Hotel. We went there last weekend and got engaged at this magnificent hotel. Weather didn't lend itself to my plans but the staff stepped in and made everything magical. Fantastic Hotel. Hugh rooms and bathrooms. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, I loved the poached egg and avocado toast. The centre of Westport is just a 15 minute walk away. Swimming pool with sauna and steam rooms. The Westport Greenway walking and cycling trail can be accessed just outside the grounds of the hotel, it is a really good walking trail. It was an excellant place to spend a weekend but I would be happy to put in a whole week at this wonderful hotel. - Gary Barrett 5/5
