Mayo Dark Sky Festival (30th to 1st Nov): Established in 2016, this festival celebrates its 10 years anniversary and all facets of Mayo's natural dark skies, taking place in the communities around the Dark Sky Park and making it the top spot for stargazing and the International Winner of Dark Sky Place of 2024 and Winner of the Mayo County Council Cathaoirleach's award for Best Festival 2025. On clear nights, more than 4,000 stars light up the sky, visitors can also get to view constellations, planets like Venus and Jupiter and meteor showers.
