Mayo Dark Festrival - 1st: Established in 2016, this festival celebrates all facets of Mayo's natural dark skies, taking place in the communities around the Dark Sky Park (Newport-Mulranny-Ballycroy) and making it a top spot for stargazing. On clear nights, more than 4,000 stars light up the sky, visitors can also get to view constellations, planets like Venus and Jupiter and meteor showers.
