  • Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail (TBC): A 20km linear walking trail running from Aghagower to the village of Murrisk at the foot of Croagh Patrick, in raising funds for Mayo Roscommon Children's hospice. visit website
  • Relay for Life (16th): A 24hr event in aid of the Irish Cancer Society at the Mall, Castlebar. You can donate to the event, or to your favourite team or to a fundraiser. You can also buy a Candle of Hope bag and join the evening ceremony of music and remembrance. visit website
  • Delphi half marathon & 10km (16th): Delphi half marathon and 10km is a must do race for all ages and levels. It brings you through Doolough valley, Delphi, and along the Killary fjord before finishing in the quaint village of Leenane visit website
  • The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (17th): The world's largest motorcycling charity event in aid of men's mental health and prostate cancer. Prepare to see over 40 classic & vintage styled motorcycle riders draped in their finest best tweed suits and their best cravats. visit website

  • The Pirate Queen Cabaret show (22nd): Join an all-female cast for a contemporary cabaret take on Grace O’Malley’s extraordinary life visit website
  • The Wild Atlantic Ultra (23rd): The WAU is a 50-mile Ultra Marathon and one of the most scenic races in Ireland. The course starts from Bunowen Bridge and runs around Croagh Patrick, Sheefrey Pass, Tawynard Forest, Doolough Valley, Clew Bay and the Atlantic Coast.   • The Clew Bay Garden Trail (23rd): The launch event starts @11am at the National Museum of Ireland in Turlough Park, Castlebar (F23HY31). It provides the opportunity to explore and learn about the unique gardens along the shores of Clew Bay from May to July.
  • McHale Race Day (25th & 26th): 2 day racing with the 1st day being the biggest race day featuring the McHale Mayo National with a prize fund of €100,000. On the 25th, gates open @2.30pm with 1st race @4.30pm and last race @7.35pm. On the 26th gates open @3.30pm with 1st race @5.30pm and last race @8.30pm.
  • Mayo Pride (29th-30th + 1st June): Back in Westport, this is the 9th annual Mayo Pride with a full line-up of events scheduled throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, including the Parade on Saturday 30th starting @1.30pm from the Fairgreen marching all the way down to the Quay for a post parade party. visit website
