Experience the magic of walking by moonlight, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life as part of our guided walking weekend on the full moon weekend of 15th /16th November. Walking in nature “by the light of the silvery moon” is something few people get to try, yet it is a sensory experience that is truly unforgettable.
With glorious panoramic views over Clew Bay, Achill and Clare Island, the walks are led by our local Terra Firm expert guide, taking you off the beaten track to explore the Wild Atlantic coastline.
The weekend includes a guided walk on the Saturday, dinner in the Fern Grill restaurant followed by stories and magic by candlelight and a moon lit walk (weather permitting) after hours.
The Saturday will include a reasonably challenging walk at Jamesie's Well Loop walk, a 10km walk taking in many historical features with truly spectacular scenery, all on a great walking surface and with expert local knowledge on hand.
Return after your day’s adventures where the pool, sauna and steam room await you in Spa Salveo. Our experienced therapists can work any soreness or tightness out of muscles that may need relaxing.
The "Full Moon Walking Weekend" at Knockranny House Hotel includes two nights’ accommodation with breakfast, dinner on one evening, a guided walk with packed lunch, transport and a moon lit walk. Prices start from €355pp based on two sharing in a Classic room.

* Check in from 4pm and check out is 12 noon. * No Booking fee or deposit is required. * Reservations may be cancelled or amended up to 7 days prior to arrival in July and August and 48 hours prior to arrival in other months. All cancellations must be made by email. * Bed & breakfast rates include up to TWO adults per room(additional guests will be charged).
The rate also includes up to two children under 3 on a complimentary bed and breakfast basis sharing the same room. All residents over the age of 18 have complimentary access to Spa Salveo's Vitality Pool, Fitness and Thermal Suites for the duration of their stay. Children can use the pool ONLY on Saturday & Sunday's (9am - 12pm) and again during Irish school holidays (9am - 12pm) which is our dedicated kids swim time.
